Are feelings periodical!!
I am sometimes overwhelmed, sometimes disappointed, sometimes excited. I know all these are very commonly felt emotions but what i am always puzzled is not that we feel these way for short time but that we carry them for longer time until we get a different emotion which is new or which is more deeper or which is very difficult one.
Why do we wait for a new one to substitute an old one, when we can break the periodically felt feelings by attaining a less reactive state of mind to any situation!
Sounds impractical but when we give a deep thought we are already doing it. When we are facing any new emotions we tend to break down but if the same thing is repeated sometimes then we are either prepared to that kind of situations or we are proactive in avoiding such situations. All we need to do is observe situations.
